Christmas Cocktails
Is it even Christmas without a cocktail? Certainly not in our house. A friend and I mixed some tasty (and super simple) drinks over the weekend that we thought were great for holiday entertaining!
The two of us prefer drinks with vodka in them (and I love me some Tito’s), so we chose two vodka drinks: one a spin on my favorite refreshment – vodka soda with lemon, and the other a perfect pick-me-up.

Mistletoe Kiss
For two cocktails:
Rim two rocks glasses with lemon juice and sprinkles. To a shaker, add:
- 6 ounces vodka
- 1 ounce fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 2 ounces rosemary simple syrup
- club soda
Shake well and serve over ice with cranberries and a rosemary sprig for garnish.
Tip: If you can’t find simple syrup, it is so easy to make at home! Add equal parts sugar and water (I used one cup of each) to a small pot. Bring to a boil and simmer for about five minutes, stirring often. Turn off the heat and add a sprig of fresh rosemary. Let that steep for ten minutes and voila!
Polar Espresso
Rim a rocks glass with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.
- 2 ounces vodka
- 1 shot espresso
- dash of vanilla
- milk and sugar to taste
Shake well and serve over ice with a sprig of rosemary and raspberry garnish.
